چکیده

[1] The geodetic velocity and strain rate patterns in Anatolia constrain the rheology of the lithosphere, once compared with thin shell finite element tectonic model predictions. Geodetic and modeled deformation favors a hard lithospheric rheology, responsible for the high EastWest horizontal velocities in the center of Anatolia, between 39 –41 N, in proximity of the North Anatolian Fault. The block like behavior of Anatolia, due to the hard lithospheric rheology, is responsible for the low geodetic and modeled strain rates in the center of the peninsula. The low strain rate is well correlated with the region of low release of seismic energy between 33 –36 E and 38 – 40 N. The high seismic and geodetic strain rate region in the far west part of the NAF is also well reproduced by the modeling.

Geometrical Deformation Analysis of Gotvand-Olya Dam Using Permanent Geodetic Monitoring Network Observations

In this paper, two-dimensional deformation analysis of the Gotvand-Olya dam is done using daily, monthly, seasonal and annual displacement vectors derived from permanent observations of the dam geodetic monitoring network.  The strain tensor and its invariant parameters like dilatation and maximum shear are computed as well. Nonlinear finite element interpolation based on C1 Cubic Bezier int...

تعیین و پهنه‌بندی نرخ ممان لرزه‌ای ژئودزی: مطالعه خاص شبکه سراسری ژئودینامیک ایران

A new and significant source of information on earthquake studies has been provided by space geodesy. The data which are gathered by various techniques of space geodesy, can quantify potential of seismic activity in the region of interest. To achieve this goal, the main advantage of extra-terrestrial geodetic data in comparison with the conventional data from geology and seismology is the abili...

MODELING HIGH TEMPERATURE FLOW BEHAVIOR OF AN AL 6061 ALUMINIUM ALLOY

Hot deformation behavior of a medium Cr/Mn Al6061 aluminum alloy was studied by isothermal compression test at temperatures range of 320 to 480 °C and strain rates range of 0.001 to 0.1 s −1. The true stresstrue strain curves were analyzed to characterize the flow stress of Al6061. Plastic behavior, as a function of both temperature and strain rate for Al6061, was also modeled using a hyperboli...

بررسی عددی و ارائه یک مدل ساختاری ترکیبی برای بتن تحت تاثیر بارگذاری با نرخ کرنش نسبتا بالا

Abstract   Many concrete structures may be exposed to high rate dynamic loadings like impacts, explosions, etc. Thus, it is necessary to know the behavior of this material in order to predict the response of the structure. Understanding the response of concrete at high strain rates is a main factor both for a successful design of protective structures and reducing the damage of constructions....

Influence of High Strain Rates on the Mechanical Behavior of High-Manganese Steels

In this work, dynamic mechanical properties of three high-manganese steels with TRIP/TWIP or fully TWIP characteristics are studied. High strain rate experiments in the range of true strain rates between ~500 and 1800 /s are conducted using a dynamic torsional testing setup. All the three steels show a positive strain rate sensitivity in the intermediate range of strain rates (up to 500 /s). Bu...
